What exactly is Sananga? 

Sananga is a traditional Amazonian medicine that is applied to the eyes as an eye drop.  

It comes from the bark and root of the Tabernaemontana sananho shrub, which is ground into a very fine powder and then extracted into juice.

Sananga eye drops are commonly used by numerous tribes in the Amazon because its effects help improve hunting abilities, such as vision in darkness and depth of field, sharper and more refined vision. 

In addition, the use of Sananga is believed to remove “Panema”.

How do I apply Sananga eye drops?

• First you should remove your contact lenses, if you are wearing them.
• The best position is lying down or with your head reclined back.
• Prepare the environment; be in a calm, quiet place where you feel the energy is clean. You can light a Palo Santo or incense of your preference. Connect with the Spirit of Sananga and allow it to reveal itself and work together with you, the more you can work together, the better the results will be. 

You can ask someone to help you apply a drop in each eye. But if you choose to work alone, you can apply yourself, here are two suggestions:

• Hold your eye open and apply one drop and quickly, then go to the second eye and do the same. It takes some practice, so it is best for those with more experience;
• Another way is to close both eyes and apply a drop on each side to the corner of each eye in the tear duct. 

Ideally the eyes should be open, but we tend to want to keep them closed.
